I just taught my five year old son how to play chess using a real chess board. I know it would be the same online but I thought it would be nice if he could experience what it's like to play with the real thing. He is slowly getting better and can already understand the concept of defense. It would take a while before he can learn how to strategically get an opponent's check mate. I am even not that good myself. I just thought it will be a nice sport to teach a kid.
