I can't believe my five year old just beat me on chess. Maybe he was practicing alone. I am the one who taught him how to play and I couldn't be happier. I wish he will keep his interest in this game until he gets older. My husband is in his forties and he doesn't know how to play chess. It's unfortunate that no one taught him this game. I think every father should teach this game to his son. I guess he will just be teaching him other more important things for him.
One day I am going to really learn how to play chess. I mean, I know how to play chess but I feel I am not really in control of the game. I am just being defensive and I rely so much just with luck. I don't think my skills will improve unless I really learn how to play with the aim to win. I also feel I am not giving myself more hours of practice. I am glad there are computer games now because back in our days we have to look for people to play with.
